Meet The Band:
Jaimie Lee began playing solo gigs at coffee shops in her hometown of Harrisburg, North Carolina. She has always been a shy gal but with her guitar and a good song, she finds comfort in performing music for her audiences. New to the Finger Lakes Region in 2012, Jaimie took solace in continuing her passion for music as a professional musician. It proved to be an effective way to infiltrate the local community and meet like-minded individuals. After playing for a variety of local venues and events as a soloist, Jaimie felt the need to expand musically by collaborating with other musicians. This venture eventually led her to Kate, where the Horse Stories began. Jaimie Lee's musical influences include Ingrid Michaelson, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morrissette, and Jim Croce. Though this is not her "full time gig", it is certainly a passion that simply cannot be silenced.

Kate Borkowski has been enjoying singing and playing music since a young age. Some of her earliest memories include hanging around her parent’s music store, Marich Music, being a groupie of her parent's washtub band, The EastSide Laundry, and joining in with the traditional family holiday sing-alongs. She’s studied blues, folk, and classical guitar with teachers from Corning to Rochester and most recently settled into the folk/Americana scene. She’s played solo, with her folk revival group Kate and Candace and sometimes with her husband, jam rock musician Ben Borkowski. She and Jaimie began playing together after discovering their similar musical tastes at an acoustic jam, and she is enjoying this current musical venture. She credits her parents, brother, husband, and family friends for influencing her varied musical tastes, and encouraging her to stay true to her roots. She moved back to her hometown of Corning, NY in 2013 where she resides with her husband, daughter, and dog, Mosie.
